About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fabricate orthotic and/or prosthetic devices according to Company quality and quantity standards.
- Assist with or perform ordering, receiving, and other inventory tasks as assigned.
- Maintain 5S to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials.
- Follow work instructions for each device in the work area.
- Participate in on-the-job training and formal O&P training, including LMS and other leadership-provided training.
- Work on routine assignments under close supervision with limited judgment and decision-making.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
- Preferred: less than 1 year of related experience working within environments that include: machinery, tools, wood working, design, fabrication, componentry, etc.
- Without diploma/GED, 1 year of related experience working within O&P environments that include: machinery, tools, design, fabrication, componentry, etc.
- Knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair prostheses and orthoses according to specifications.
- Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
- Effective organizational, time management and planning skills.
- Good interpersonal and verbal skills for communicating with others.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures.
- Must adhere to safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
- Must adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory compliance training issued by Hanger, Inc.
