About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a supplier base to ensure procedures and inventory are in place so transactions flow smoothly to and from suppliers
  • Procure material through ERP software in the most cost-effective manner and ensure inventory is available for customers
  • Serve as the primary contact for a select group of suppliers
  • Establish strong supplier relationships to promote quick problem resolution and contribute to process improvements that drive enterprise efficiencies
  • Maintain product records, including product description changes, part number changes or additions, and special setups such as content groups
  • Assist customers with supplier, product, price, or availability inquiries via email and phone
  • Facilitate invoice problem resolution with suppliers and internal groups, determining root causes and corrective departments and processes
  • Participate in manager-requested projects, including inventory returns and swaps
  • Support consolidation of the supplier base through timely and accurate process tracking, database management, and communication
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Education or G.E.D. is required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative role or equivalent with 1 of those years being in a supply chain field
  • Able to handle confidential information as appropriate
  • Attention to detail, and set/change priorities as needed
  • Ability to develop and maintain critical working relationships with internal customers and external suppliers
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to others
  • Strong PC skills with effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Work effectively with minimum supervision
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to think creatively and work productively with others to provide the best solution to meet internal and external customer needs
  • Ability to organize, multi-task & prioritize while keeping a focus on short and long term objectives
  • Customer service centric and results driven
  • Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships
