About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement creative national PR campaigns including tier 1 authors and brands
  • Create tailored campaigns for each author/brand, pitching for feature and review coverage across broadcast, print and digital
  • Secure events and author tours
  • Maintain author schedules and coordinate logistics for events and author tours
  • Send marketing materials and book stock for events and author tours
  • Manage external agencies, freelancers and stakeholders to ensure campaigns are carried out to a high standard
  • Manage financial budgets and keep campaigns on budget
  • Work with editorial teams, agents and authors to maintain strong relationships
  • Maintain media contacts across trade, feature editors, broadcast and social media influencers
  • Represent HCCB at book conferences, librarian conferences and other industry occasions
  • Attend meetings with journalists and influencers and grow a network of contacts
  • Draft, assist with and distribute press releases and media statements
  • Support the Head of Publicity with campaign work and administrative tasks
  • Adhere to HarperCollins diversity and inclusion policies across campaigns and colleague interactions

Requirements
