About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of monthly financial reporting
  • Perform technical accounting analysis under IFRS, with an emphasis on IFRS 15
  • Review IFRS 15 revenue contract checklists prepared by business unit finance teams
  • Review multiple-element software arrangements and supporting revenue recognition schedules
  • Review standalone selling price analyses and support periodic SSP studies
  • Review work-in-progress schedules and percentage-of-completion revenue calculations
  • Coordinate and respond to external and internal auditor requests during reviews and audits
  • Support process improvements, templates, and training materials for revenue reporting
  • Lead special ad hoc projects affecting various stakeholders
  • Work with business unit senior leadership as a trusted business advisor
  • Report to the Revenue Accounting Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience in an accounting or finance environment
  • Completed or working towards a CPA designation
  • Hands-on experience applying IFRS 15 / revenue recognition, ideally to software or technology arrangements
  • Strong attention to detail, sound professional judgment, and comfort raising issues and communicating findings to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the IFRS reporting framework
  • Progressive experience at a public accounting firm, particularly auditing software or technology clients, or at a software company
  • Solutions-focused mindset with a desire to improve processes
