About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactively identify and source software companies aligned with investment goals
- Develop a robust M&A pipeline of opportunities
- Lead outbound prospecting through strategic, targeted outreach
- Build rapport and long-term professional relationships with business owners, founders, executives, and senior leadership
- Establish credibility and position Harris as the acquirer of choice
- Develop and implement methods to improve the outreach process
- Use the M&A CRM to manage the pipeline and meticulously track activities
- Use pipeline data to support effective decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Self-motivated individual with a track record of taking initiative and achieving targets in a business development environment
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own work
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and rapport-building skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, including C-suite executives
- Ability to work independently and see complex projects through
- Positive, resilient attitude and entrepreneurial drive
- Ability to engage confidently and credibly with founders and senior executives
- Professionalism and executive presence
- Solid understanding of business operations and business acumen
- 2–5 years of experience in M&A is preferred
