About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join Harris Williams' Energy, Power & Infrastructure M&A team in the New York office
  • Drive work forward in partnership with analysts
  • Perform and synthesize complex analyses using financial modeling and valuation methodologies
  • Identify trends in data and articulate their impact to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead analytical work and oversee junior team workstreams
  • Support live deal execution and new business development
  • Maintain high exposure to clients and senior bankers
  • Participate in recruiting, junior banker training, marketing, diversity, and community outreach initiatives
  • Deliver accurate work product and real-time performance feedback to analysts
  • Translate technical concepts, data, and analysis into compelling market narratives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity required
  • 1+ year as a sell-side M&A Associate strongly preferred
  • Ability to perform and synthesize complex analyses through financial modeling and valuation methodologies
  • Problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead analytical work and oversee junior team workstreams
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to the designated office location
  • FINRA licensing: SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 must be acquired within 90 days of hire
  • Master's degree listed under Education
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
