About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join Harris Williams' Technology group as an Experienced M&A Associate in the San Francisco office
- Drive work forward in partnership with analysts
- Perform and synthesize complex analyses through financial modeling and valuation methodologies
- Identify trends in data and articulate their impact to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead analytical work and oversee junior team workstreams
- Support live deal execution and new business development
- Participate in client and senior banker engagements
- Deliver accurate, thoughtful work product
- Provide real-time performance feedback to analysts
- Translate technical concepts, data, and analysis into compelling market narratives
- Participate in recruiting, junior banker training, marketing, diversity, and community outreach initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity required
- 1+ year as a sell-side M&A Associate strongly preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
- Willingness and ability to relocate to the designated San Francisco, CA office
- FINRA licensing: SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 must be acquired within 90 days of hire
- University / college degree typically required for roles at this level
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience may be considered
- Quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and valuation methodologies
