About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate new security technologies and cloud services
- Perform engineering work and security analysis to determine whether solutions should be pursued
- Implement approved cloud security technologies and services
- Develop cloud security solutions using Security as Code, cloud automation tooling, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with Security Architects to define and own cloud security strategy
- Maintain a continuously updated and secure cloud environment
- Establish cloud security best practices
- Develop, construct, and evaluate cloud-native services that provide guardrails for developers
- Validate cloud solutions against enterprise security standards
- Ensure cloud solutions are properly governed and delivered according to established guidelines
- Apply agile working practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams and strategic partners to release enterprise-class cloud services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, CCSP, CISSP, or CCSK are highly desirable
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and securing cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure
- Strong understanding of GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, and related regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience implementing security controls to meet regulatory requirements
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security, network security, identity and access management, encryption, and secure coding principles
- Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Defender security assessment tools, vulnerability scanning tools, and SIEM platforms
- In-depth understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, Proxies, M365, EDR, and KQL
- Familiarity with Microsoft ARM, BICEP, PowerShell, and Python scripting and automation
- Track record designing, building, and deploying scalable, secure, and highly available Azure security infrastructures
- Strong proficiency leveraging data and advanced analytics for decision-making and security improvement
- Expertise using Azure DevOps for collaborative development and security solutions in code
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
