About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with an aligned business area to support commercial and people outcomes
- Coach leaders on colleague issues, employee relations and change initiatives
- Proactively identify and resolve issues across core areas
- Help leaders apply policies and processes consistently and fairly
- Manage employee relations casework end-to-end
- Advise and coach leaders on best practices for fair and reasonable outcomes
- Identify trends from casework and highlight key risks and improvement areas
- Provide effective and insightful reporting to leadership teams
- Manage complex employee relations matters in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience within Employee Relations in a highly regulated environment such as insurance or financial services
- Experience supporting companies through periods of organisational change
- Proven ability and experience planning, leading and supporting organisational change programmes
- Strong understanding of redeployment/alternative principles, including identifying suitable roles, managing fair selection processes and minimising risk through effective redeployment strategies
- Ability to operate at pace and manage multiple priorities while adapting to evolving business needs
- Proven experience leading collective and individual consultation processes
- Experience working with Trade Unions and colleague forums
- Strong understanding of the Employment Rights Act 2025
- Ability to translate legislative requirements into practical and commercially sound ER advice
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Clear understanding of absence management, conduct, grievances and performance management cases
- Experience using MI
- Must be able to work in the UK; sponsorship is unavailable
- Successful applicants undergo credit and criminal record checks
