About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the overall commercial direction and long-term performance of the Telematics portfolio
Set priorities around growth, profitability and customer value
Bring Retail, Underwriting, Pricing, Product and Digital teams together
Build understanding of market cycles and guide growth decisions
Monitor competitor activity, customer behaviour and emerging trends
Turn market and customer insight into clear business recommendations
Maintain a forward-looking view of portfolio performance, including loss ratio, profitability and base-rate position
Lead recommendations on portfolio trading strategy and base-rate movements
Work with Pricing and Underwriting to implement commercial decisions
Deliver growth initiatives that improve profitability and customer outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong commercial judgement, with experience owning or influencing P&L performance
Confident, collaborative leadership style
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and align different teams behind a shared direction
Ability to turn complex data and market insight into clear decisions and practical action
Disciplined approach to performance management
Strong attention to detail and focus on accountability
Experience creating effective reporting and performance frameworks
Ability to bring clarity, focus and a consistent operating rhythm to a complex, fast-moving environment
Thorough referencing process including credit and criminal record checks
