About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell Hawkes Learning’s courseware portfolio, including software, textbooks, and workbooks, through daily travel to college campuses
  • Grow territory revenue for Hawkes software products
  • Identify adoption targets and develop strategic sales approaches
  • Coordinate internal resources and manage the sales process through adoption
  • Research the geographic territory, identify key accounts, generate new leads, and nurture leads through the sales process
  • Partner with Customer Success Specialists on expansion opportunities
  • Assist with virtual and in-person conferences, webinars, and presentations
  • Manage complex committee adoptions by identifying key decision makers and completing needs analyses
  • Maintain contact databases and manage the sales pipeline
  • Partner with marketing to execute campaign follow-up strategies and lead-generation initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-3 years of proven experience in field sales, preferably in educational technology selling math; entry-level candidates accepted with some sales education
  • Ability and willingness to travel 4 days per week for on-campus travel, with semi-regular overnight travel during peak selling season
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Strong written, oral, and non-verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to different personalities and situations
  • Knowledge of forecast and pipeline management
  • Collaborative mindset and team-player orientation
  • Organized with excellent time-management skills
  • Driven and motivated to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Ideal candidates located in Baltimore, Maryland, or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
