About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the administrative lead for multi-part attorney training programs, including scheduling, invitations, technology management, logistical coordination, and preparation of materials
  • Assist training leaders and the Attorney Development department in tracking attorney training and development against learning paths and benchmarks
  • Coordinate Firm-wide CLE and training programs, including announcements, invitations, RSVPs, room reservations, refreshments, setup, technology, logistics, sign-in procedures, troubleshooting, and follow-up
  • Obtain CLE credit for appropriate jurisdictions and maintain accurate Firm CLE records using Micron
  • Maintain and utilize performance management software for talent management and attorney review processes
  • Coordinate attorney goal-setting, mid-year reviews, year-end reviews, promotion and partnership evaluations, and other development checkpoints
  • Maintain confidential attorney development data and generate reports on reviews, training participation, workload, mentoring, and talent metrics
  • Coordinate partner-level review meetings twice yearly
  • Assist with work allocation surveys, responses, partner reports, and tracking
  • Collaborate on staffing matters to support associate utilization, varied work opportunities, development goals, and skill-based matter staffing
  • Work on special department or Firm projects as needed
  • Report to the Senior Manager of Attorney Development or another designated Attorney Development leader; no direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least one year of experience in training and development
  • Experience within the legal or professional services industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Micron CLE is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with CLE rules, particularly Texas MCLE, is preferred
  • Effective communication with attorneys, Firm Leadership, and professional staff at all levels
  • Excellent writing, presentation, project management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to provide responsive client service
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is preferred
