About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage specialized aspects of firm-wide attorney training.
  • Serve as a firm-wide CLE resource.
  • Support diversity and inclusion training initiatives and programs.
  • Assist the Attorney Development department with training programs and the associate evaluation process.
  • Coordinate and execute annual milestone development programs.
  • Collaborate with AD team members and administrative teams on attorney development and strategic talent management initiatives.
  • Coordinate orientation initiatives and programming, including mentorship programs.
  • Support section/practice group-specific training series.
  • Assist with attorney career development initiatives, professional skills training, leadership development programs and coaching resources.
  • Follow up with internal and external speakers to procure materials, provide editing support and confirm program details.
  • Manage logistics including Outlook invitations, session materials, room reservations, A/V and technology requests, meals and travel.
  • Support talent management and administer the biannual non-partner review process.
  • Assist with Attorney Development team initiatives and activities.
  • Liaise with lawyers and staff at all levels and perform related duties.
  • Report directly to the Sr. Manager of Attorney Development.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years’ experience with similar responsibilities in a large law firm or professional services organization.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications is required.
  • Experience with Micron, Workday and Smartsheet platforms preferred.
  • Candidate must be highly organized and possess excellent attention to detail skills.
  • Candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Candidate should be comfortable communicating effectively with all levels of individuals in the Firm.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • JD or other advanced degrees are a plus, not required.
  • Position remains stationary at least 85% of the time.
  • Must be able to inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time.
