About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Greet and welcome patients, guests, and visitors
  • Maintain a customer service work environment
  • Address inquiries and requests in a friendly and responsive manner
  • Anticipate patient, guest, and visitor needs and proactively support their satisfaction
  • Direct guests to appropriate locations using facility maps or other aids
  • Respond immediately to guest inquiries
  • Provide patient and guest comfort and emotional support as needed
  • Survey the lobby and surrounding area to ensure it is inviting and visitors are assisted
  • Use service recovery skills in problem-solving situations
  • Answer phones promptly and courteously and provide clerical and administrative services as needed
  • Collaborate continuously with security personnel to provide a hospitable, welcoming, and safe environment
  • Monitor visitor restrictions and screen visitors appropriately
  • Greet governmental surveyors and notify the Director and Manager of Governmental Affairs
  • Check mail twice weekly and route patient mail appropriately
  • Present a professional image, maintain moderate noise levels, and keep the front desk neat and orderly
  • Adhere to appropriate attire and maintenance requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year previous customer service experience
  • Ability to stand frequently
  • Ability to sit, walk, climb stairs or ladders, carry objects, push/pull, twist, bend, reach, squat/kneel/crawl, perform wrist-position deviation and fine-motor activities, and use a keyboard repetitively
  • Ability to talk or hear continuously
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs. from floor to waist and 10 lbs. at waist level and above
  • Accurate near vision, far vision, color discrimination, minimal depth perception, and accurate hearing
  • Occupational exposure risks include bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, airborne communicable disease, extreme temperatures, radiation, uneven surfaces or elevations, extreme noise levels, and dust/particulate matter
