About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) supplies and Jan/San products to an established customer portfolio
  • Maintain and drive sales within the Industrial and Trades vertical
  • Exceed sales and profit targets in a designated territory
  • Implement sales and marketing programs and establish short- and long-term sales strategies
  • Secure profitable new accounts through industry research, networking, and proactive prospecting
  • Manage sales and customer retention initiatives to enhance sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Plan, forecast, and report sales activities and competitive pricing tactics
  • Generate strategic sales call schedules and conduct face-to-face customer visits
  • Promote value-added solutions, navigate objections, and identify sales opportunities
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified managed accounts using a customer relationship management tool
  • Utilize cold-call strategies to grow territory accounts
  • Maintain industry-specific product knowledge and understanding of specialized services
  • Use Salesforce reporting and data analysis to identify territory growth opportunities
  • Review customer portfolios and act on underperforming accounts
  • Collaborate with inside sales to support business growth and development
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems and oversee projects or assignments as applicable

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must reside in Washington state
  • Proactive sales professional with organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize selling activities and administrative tasks
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal team members
  • Experience with consultative/solution selling preferred
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, or similar CRM
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) field sales experience
  • Requires operation of a personal vehicle more than 50% of the average work week
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report required
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline and generally 5-8 years of related experience, OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of related experience
  • Certification is required in some areas
