About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the entire Google Ads account end to end across Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and AI Max campaigns
- Manage bidding strategy and budget allocation
- Optimize cost per click, cost per conversion, and search impression share
- Build and run experimentation across bidding, audiences, ads, assets, and landing pages
- Develop keyword and search term strategy, including expansion, negatives, match types, and high-intent query discovery
- Test ads and assets with the growth marketer on copy and creative
- Optimize the full journey from impression to booked appointment
- Work directly with engineers and the product team on landing pages, search results, and booking flow
- Implement privacy-safe conversion tracking and attribution compliant with health-data standards and ad-platform healthcare policies
- Develop new paid channels including Microsoft Ads, remarketing, and emerging AI search and assistant platforms
- Bring paid search fully in-house with clear ownership and rationale for spend
- Reduce cost per conversion and wasted spend while increasing impression share in priority areas
- Establish a regular testing cadence and feed learnings into product and marketing
- Build the case for and launch the next paid channel
- Act as the voice of paid traffic in booking-journey product decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–7 years of hands-on PPC experience
- Ideally in-house experience at a product company rather than agency-side
- Personally managed accounts with £500k+ in spend and high click and conversion volume
- Fluency in bidding strategy, account structure, and automated campaign types
- Ability to assess when not to trust automated campaign types
- Full-user-journey thinking across impression, evaluation, intent, conversion, and remarketing
- Experience launching products or channels, cutting budgets, or driving metrics under pressure
- Startup or scale-up experience
- Hands-on testing and informed opinions about AI-driven changes in search
- Comfortable working directly with engineers, marketers, and founders
- Ability to make data-backed cases
- Experience in health or another regulated category is a strong advantage
- Experience with Google Ads, including Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and AI Max
- Experience or interest in Microsoft Ads, remarketing, and emerging AI search and assistant platforms
- Experience with PostHog and platform reporting
- SQL is a plus
- Ability to work in the office at least 4 days a week
- Visa sponsorship requirement must be disclosed in the application
