About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage electrical and MEP infrastructure construction projects from planning through completion
  • Lead projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality alignment
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and communication strategies
  • Serve as a key contact for clients, contractors, vendors, engineers, architects, and project teams
  • Coordinate project meetings, site visits, inspections, and progress reporting
  • Oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, specification-compliant work
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, expenditures, and progress billing
  • Identify and help resolve project risks, conflicts, delays, and quality concerns
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, permits, and construction schedules
  • Coordinate electrical systems and infrastructure installations in line with project requirements and design intent
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety requirements, and company standards
  • Build and maintain client relationships through clear communication and reliable execution
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, operations managers, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Participate in professional development and expand technical and leadership knowledge
  • Travel regularly to active project sites throughout Indianapolis and Central Indiana
  • Represent HEAPY Solutions’ culture and support team success

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Normally requires a 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7–10 years of experience managing electrical infrastructure, electrical construction, or complex MEP construction projects
  • OSHA Safety Training/Certification required
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, power distribution systems, project sequencing, and construction coordination
  • Experience managing electrical infrastructure projects, including power distribution, medium-voltage systems, emergency power systems, utility coordination, or similar electrical scopes
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and client stakeholders
  • Strong communication, leadership, relationship-building, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Reliable transportation to and from project sites required
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and access all areas of job sites, including ladders, scaffolding, and stairs
  • Ability to move or transport items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Must follow safety guidelines and established site protocols
  • Ability to gather, organize, and evaluate project performance, cost, schedule, and construction information
