About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design integrated technology systems including structured cabling, networking, audio-visual, security, and other ICT infrastructure for building projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop technology solutions meeting client goals, project requirements, and industry standards
  • Prepare design documentation, specifications, calculations, and technical reports
  • Support projects from concept through construction
  • Perform field observations
  • Review shop drawings and submittals
  • Help ensure successful project execution through quality-focused design and coordination

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Normally requires a high school diploma along with a combination of education, experience, and technical knowledge related to integrated technology systems design in the built environment
  • Experience designing integrated technology systems such as structured cabling, networking, audio-visual, security, or other ICT systems
  • Experience using industry-standard design software and technology design tools
  • Strong understanding of technology system design principles, documentation, and coordination within building projects
  • Ability to prepare technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and supporting project documentation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal project teams
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • RCDD certification is preferred
