About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather, interpret, and leverage data to provide actionable insights for linear content distribution deals
  • Develop quantitative analyses to optimize A+E Global Media’s value potential in deal negotiations
  • Analyze deal economics for traditional MVPDs and vMVPD players
  • Develop and model economic structures for deals
  • Analyze incentives related to penetration, volume, and marketing
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal and Business Affairs, and Finance teams on economic implications and deal terms
  • Assess economic risk and opportunity for deals
  • Forecast and track revenue projections against budgets
  • Maintain and develop economic tools
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of analytical data
  • Manage annual compliance processes and liaise with legal and finance
  • Create data visualizations and multiplatform data models
  • Monitor industry trends, tools, and techniques
  • Identify opportunities and solve business problems using quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
  • Prepare account overviews and develop strategic renewal plans
  • Work with Research and Sales to determine critical distribution-deal metrics and develop sales stories
  • Monitor distributor packaging changes
  • Track competitive network performance and subscriber trends
  • Serve as a point of contact for analytical support
  • Support quarterly forecasting and long-term financial planning
  • Develop decks and presentations for management and board meetings
  • Model new content distribution models
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand goals and challenges
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize revenue, improve performance, and drive strategic initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 1 year of media industry experience highly desired; relevant internship or other experience will also be considered
  • Bachelor’s degree or related work experience will be considered
  • Proven experience in analysis, research, or a related role
  • Solid proficiency in analytical tools and modeling in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Prior experience working with clients or presenting to others
  • General understanding of the media entertainment industry and competitive landscape, specifically Distribution or related revenue-generating business
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, accurate, motivated, and flexible
  • Ability to interface with multiple departments and varied personalities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must be commutable to the New York City office and work onsite 3 days per week
