About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and support network services and solutions for consulting clients
  • Mentor others and share technical skills
  • Build customer-focused relationships to identify business challenges and develop solution specifications and requirements
  • Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures
  • Execute large projects with Project Managers and Practice Leads on time and on budget
  • Lead Engineers and ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely
  • Serve as Lead Engineer on projects involving multiple technologies
  • Provide daily project updates and proactively communicate timelines, hours, resources, and concerns
  • Coordinate collaboration between different business units to provide a world-class customer experience
  • Lead team and customer meetings
  • Contribute to product selection, research, configuration standards, and best practices
  • Educate sales teams on products and services
  • Work across regional and virtual practices
  • Stay current on new products and solutions
  • Grow technical expertise, leadership, certifications, and project experience according to the Engineering skills matrix
  • Meet the annual billable-hour goal

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years in a technical related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience
  • At least two or more professional-level certifications, such as CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, or MCA
  • Experience designing and architecting network-based solutions
  • Experience installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products
  • Experience with IOS, IOS-XR, and NX-OS
  • Experience with routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
  • Experience with Layer 2 / Layer 3 architecture and design
  • Experience with multicast and QoS
  • Outcome-focused mindset

  • Maintain current vendor/industry-specific certifications
