About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete a 12-month Rooms Manager-in-Training program
  • Shadow the Front Office and Housekeeping departments at the assigned hotel
  • Complete shifts in each position within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments
  • Attend department meetings and hotel leadership meetings
  • Become proficient with the PMS and other Front Office and Housekeeping systems
  • Use labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs
  • Interact positively with customers and resolve problems to maintain customer satisfaction and quality
  • Ensure compliance with Room Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred
  • Flexibility to relocate for placement after completion of the MIT program
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
  • Ability to comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
