About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Heidelberg Sheetfed equipment
  • Train customers on Heidelberg equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance, and train on Sheetfed equipment via charge service
  • Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance, and train on Sheetfed equipment under service contract/warranty
  • Work with assigned qualified riggers to install new or used sales-generated equipment
  • Handle customer-requested equipment moves, including installation work orders and charge service
  • Inspect equipment through SS36 inspections and complete proper documentation and photographs
  • Protect Heidelberg and customer investments and reduce contract costs when possible
  • Demonstrate the value of Heidelberg service to customers to generate additional revenue
  • Sell APS/car stock products
  • Communicate product knowledge clearly, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete paperwork and administrative tasks including expenses, timesheets, escalation reports, SS36 reports, online training courses, and car maintenance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working on printing or similar equipment, preferably Heidelberg equipment or similar
  • Travel about 50% of the time depending on customer site and needs
  • 3-5 years of experience working on bindery equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers, etc.)
  • Mechanical/mechatronics background
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Computer/tech savvy and customer service skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and enjoyment of hands-on work
  • Regular attendance and timeline is required
  • Overtime or weekend work may be critical to the job
