About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overall strategic responsibility for quality and concrete technology across the precast concrete plants
- Professional and disciplinary leadership and development of Regional Laboratory Managers and Concrete Technologists
- Development and implementation of consistent quality, testing, and technology standards
- Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and certification requirements
- Further development of plant-specific production control (WPK) and overarching quality systems
- Standardization and optimization of concrete mix designs and production processes
- Technical responsibility for the use and further development of self-compacting concrete (SCC)
- Responsibility for technical parameters, design bases, and structural calculations for retaining wall panels and comparable precast concrete products
- Initiation and management of technological innovation and development projects
- Analysis of quality-related KPIs and implementation of sustainable improvement measures
- Advising and supporting Engineering, Production, and Sales on quality- and technology-related matters
- Representing the company before certification bodies, technical committees, and industry associations
- Regular travel to plants and laboratory locations throughout Germany
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed degree in Civil Engineering, Building Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable qualification
- Additional qualification as a Concrete Technologist (E-Schein) or comparable training
- Several years of leadership and management experience in the concrete, building materials, or precast concrete industry
- In-depth knowledge of concrete technology, concrete admixtures, quality management, and relevant standards
- Experience leading expert and specialist organizations
- Very good knowledge of self-compacting concrete (SCC)
- Ideally, experience with structural precast concrete products and structural calculations
- Strong analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills
- Excellent communication and assertiveness, with a confident presence at all levels
- Willingness to travel throughout Germany
