About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee plant activity and drive performance for assets located around the Philadelphia market
- Analyze plant asset performance, procedure effectiveness, and personnel productivity; improve quality and efficiency and reduce cost
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure effective fleet and maintenance plans are in place and executed at each operation
- Prepare and implement annual operating and capital budgets and capital spending requests
- Partner with the local Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to maintain a safe working environment and meet company standards and external regulations
- Drive and promote a culture of safety
- Identify and develop talented individuals across the organization to build team capability and bench strength for key hourly and salaried roles
- Evaluate subordinate performance and provide coaching
- Lead teams and supporting functions to achieve objectives for safety, environment, profit, productivity, efficiencies, production costs, and quality
- Develop relationships with peers including Sales, Quality Control, and Continuous Improvement Managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s in Engineering or Business or 10+ years of aggregates operations management experience
- Five years of aggregates operations management
- Strong understanding of geology, various mining methods, and quality control parameters
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing aggregate operations
- Proven experience with operational, sales, and marketing issues affecting aggregate operations
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial thinking and successes identifying new profitable business opportunities
