About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own delivery of collaboration features from specification through production
Design shared APIs and building blocks for collaboration and access control
Own an authorization service handling tens of millions of access checks daily
Design data models and migrations that remain fast and correct at scale
Build frontend features with React and TypeScript
Build backend services with Python
Partner with the tech lead, product manager, and designers to turn clinical workflows into usable features
Shape technical decisions and take on larger parts of the system as context grows
Help enable clinicians and clinical teams to collaborate across clinics and hospital networks while protecting patient data

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience owning delivery of features from specification to production
Adaptability when priorities shift and comfort moving between frontend and backend
Ability to lead adoption of AI tooling in engineering work and help teammates use AI tools
Product mindset focused on improving clinicians’ care delivery
2+ years building production software in Python, TypeScript, or both
Solid grounding in APIs and data modeling
Depth in at least one technical area and ability to become useful in others
Sound judgment on technical trade-offs, especially regarding patient data privacy and integrity
Experience picking up new tools and domains independently
Nice to have: experience with multi-user features such as permissions or sharing
Nice to have: familiarity with FastAPI or MongoDB
Nice to have: experience with feature flags and experimentation
