About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support beneficiaries and healthcare professionals throughout the care journey
  • Respond to inquiries primarily by phone and email
  • Provide information about policy coverage, reimbursements, and administrative processes
  • Register and terminate contracts
  • Monitor the collection of premiums
  • Process health benefits: enter reimbursement claims, prepare quotations, and issue coverage approvals
  • Update and amend beneficiary records
  • Alert the supervisor or fraud officer in the event of a fraud alert or suspected fraud
  • Manage correspondence, telephone communications, and interactions with beneficiaries
  • Ensure the quality of data entry and processing in accordance with procedures
  • Review and calculate benefits
  • Initiate and process premium collection notices
  • Work within established deadlines
  • No prospecting or sales activities are involved

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (three years of higher education)
  • Previous experience in insurance is not required
  • Fluent spoken and professional written English and French
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong listening skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Dynamic and enthusiastic
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, organized, and responsive
  • Committed to meeting targets for processing quality, volumes, and turnaround times
  • Enjoys teamwork and is eager to learn
