About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead sales growth and operational excellence across an assigned geographic region valued at roughly $100M
  • Manage a sales team in San Francisco and Sacramento
  • Oversee all field sales activities and collaborate with field operations
  • Grow sales, expand market share, identify new business opportunities, and establish primary vendor agreements
  • Lead and coach sales and operations teams, including Field Sales Consultants and other regional personnel
  • Implement strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with corporate objectives
  • Manage margin, expenses, revenue growth, profitability, and resource allocation
  • Build relationships with customers, vendors, stakeholders, and key accounts
  • Oversee regional P&L and implement strategies to improve gross profit
  • Lead recruiting, training, onboarding, and team development with the corporate training department
  • Liaise between corporate leadership and regional teams
  • Implement national and regional marketing programs
  • Work with operations teams on supply chain processes and contract compliance
  • Participate in corporate projects, regional and national conventions, customer events, and company meetings
  • Travel up to 50% to support regional teams, attend meetings, and engage with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of applicable professional experience
  • 3 or more years of management experience
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interpret financial data and improve profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including presenting to board-level executives and customers
  • Proficient in strategic planning, project management, and operational efficiency
  • Knowledge of healthcare and dental industry practices, including NDSOs, CHCs, and private practices
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, pricing models, and supply chain management
  • Excellent management, leadership, communication, presentation, public speaking, decision-making, analysis, problem-solving, planning, organizational, negotiation, relationship-management, and conflict-management skills
  • Ability to lead and develop virtual teams
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and act on financial information contributing to profitability
  • Ability to plan and manage complex projects, including timelines, budgets, resources, and responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and key stakeholders
  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in a related discipline is preferred; Master's degree or global equivalent is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography
