About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) customers within a specific territory to understand needs.
- Recommend supply chain and service solutions to establish distribution contractual agreements.
- Conduct timely and periodic face-to-face contact with every assigned account.
- Grow the account base by obtaining and onboarding new customers.
- Grow sales by selling deeper and wider in existing accounts.
- Help customers operate a productive practice and assist in delivering quality patient care.
- Develop and manage an ASC-focused territory, increasing market share primarily through new-account acquisition.
- Drive sales of Henry Schein Surgical Products to ASC customers through strategy development and account targeting.
- Execute company programs and corporate initiatives.
- Respond to customer concerns promptly and communicate issues and opportunities to appropriate departments.
- Plan, organize, and implement strategies using company programs, tools, human resources, and initiatives.
- Coordinate territory sales activities with Telesales, Capital Equipment Specialist, and Business Development Executive teams.
- Attend medical conventions and seminars and participate in instructed training programs.
- Maintain integrity and pursue continuing education to enhance sales and business acumen.
- Participate in special projects and perform other required duties.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must hold a valid drivers license.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office (Word and Excel).
- Strong selling skills, communication skills, presentation skills, customer service skills, negotiation skills.
- Healthcare knowledge preferred, but not required.
- O.R. experience preferred but not required.
- Typically 0-2 years of field sales experience.
- High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Goal-oriented and effective time management skills.
- Solid skills in client prospecting and account management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of industry practices.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to deliver difficult messages.
