About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide customer service through phone, email, and in-person consultations
  • Process and manage customer transactions at the sales counter using the company computer system
  • Recommend products and provide pricing information
  • Create sales orders and quotes using customer measurements to estimate material needs and project costs
  • Coordinate and schedule truck deliveries
  • Participate in cycle counts, order picking, staging, replenishment, and shipping/receiving
  • Communicate customer needs and special-order material requests with management and team members
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Cover backup driver responsibilities in a non-regulated truck
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior experience in a customer service or sales role is preferred
  • Experience in managing customer relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty
  • Experience or familiarity with point-of-sale systems and order entry procedures
  • Clear and courteous communication in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Effective problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and 50 lbs repetitively
  • Experience driving a non-regulated truck
  • Ability to work in warehouses and outdoor environments
  • Honest, respectful, and courteous demeanor
  • Willingness/ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • High school diploma or equivalent of education & experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
