About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle the monthly close for the sales operations of retail-sector clients (fiscal receipts)
  • Validate and analyze tax activity by reconciling information between tax tools and the internal ERP
  • Validate and analyze inconsistencies, discrepancies, or errors in tax records, reporting them to the mid-level or senior Tax Analyst
  • Validate, analyze, and perform the initial review of Working Papers related to ICMS, ICMS ST, and tax rate differentials
  • Prepare and validate state ancillary tax obligations, including SPED Fiscal and GIA
  • Request, review, and follow up on documents required for tax routines
  • Communicate pending items, inconsistencies, and risks to the technical leads
  • Support the updating of tax registrations with municipal, state, and federal authorities
  • Support tax and accounting reconciliations
  • Support tax inspections and audits by organizing tax documents under technical guidance
  • Provide support to the Tax Analyst and immediate leadership
  • Use tax systems, ERPs, and government portals
  • Contribute to the standardization, continuous improvement, and automation of CSC/BPO processes
  • Stay up to date on tax rules and legislation
  • Support internal and external customer service and clarify operational tax questions
  • Assist with compliance with tax calendars and statutory deadlines
  • Support the senior team in analyzing tax legislation
  • Prepare tax control spreadsheets and reports
  • Serve and provide support to internal Procurement, Billing, and Accounting teams
  • Work with multiple CNPJ-registered entities and states
