Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams
Provide technical support and leadership in creating and delivering technology solutions
Build and maintain effective customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain knowledge of leading-edge technologies and industry/domain knowledge
Shape technical direction and strategies for the organization and external customers
Support revenue, customer satisfaction, chargeability, and profitability goals
Verify and implement detailed technical design solutions
Design enterprise solutions and analyze and develop enterprise technology solutions
Lead technical assessments and delivery of solutions; structure teams and manage team lifecycle stages
Coordinate installations, designs, and migrations across networks, applications, or platforms
Advise on proposals, solution design, system management, tuning, and solution modification
Collect data to determine customer needs and requirements
Respond to customer requests for technical information
Develop customer technology solutions using industry products and technologies
Solve complex technical problems across multiple technologies and develop new methods when needed
Own and manage knowledge sharing within teams, practices, or projects
Coach others and contribute to professional communities through publications and conferences
Create and support sales activities, manage bids, and provide information for successful sales
Produce proposals for smaller engagements and grow the company portfolio through new opportunities and change management

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (11+ years in total)
Sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to design and scope multiple deliverables across multiple technologies
Demonstrated innovation and communication of new deliverables and offerings
Experience leading teams in delivery of multiple deliverables across multiple technologies
Ability to develop solutions enhancing enterprise availability, performance, maintainability, and agility
Experience contributing to the design and application of new tools
Detailed understanding of architectural dependencies in customer IT environments
Recognized expertise in one or more technologies; vendor or industry certification in at least one discipline area
Ability to communicate confidently with internal and external senior management
Ability to diagnose complex technical problems to root cause and summarize prognosis and impact
Broad understanding of market dynamics, industry, commercial issues, and technical concerns
Ability to present domain-specific information in customer sales presentations
Ability to lead requirements gathering, designs, plans, and estimates
Broad knowledge of other technical areas for complex integration efforts
Ability to independently complete solution implementation or application design deliverables
Ability to manage consultant teams completing solution requirements, architecture, or implementation deliverables
