Business Planning Manager – III

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop recommendations from complex data and business analyses and formulate them into business plans
- Drive construction of innovative statistical and financial models to analyze business performance
- Establish business performance metrics and recommend strategies to address performance gaps
- Lead complex, time-sensitive market research projects and identify trends and opportunities
- Staff and manage cross-functional teams across business planning activities
- Drive priority projects and make final team decisions
- Develop business plans and identify new opportunities with client business leaders
- Develop and drive business plan recommendations based on analysis, trends, and experience
- Identify or develop analytical tools, models, and methods for key business decisions
- Counsel business leaders and recommend approaches for executing high-level strategies
- Develop creative solutions and provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically 10+ years total experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area
- Advanced university degree required (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of research methodology for challenging business issues
- Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills
- Ability to leverage new analytical techniques
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling
- Superior business acumen and technical knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and influence skills
- Excellent project management skills, including leading large cross-functional initiatives
- Strong relationship management, leadership, team-building, conflict resolution, and management skills
- Ability to lead multiple large, time-sensitive projects or workstreams
- Ability to identify emerging trends from market and industry data
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement, averaging two days per week from an HPE office
