About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead component planning for HPE Networking sustaining semiconductor and memory products
- Own component supply health through forecasting, procurement, inventory management, supplier collaboration, and risk mitigation
- Lead fulfillment strategies across component suppliers, distributors/3PLs, ODM/CM partners, and internal teams
- Develop and execute procurement strategies
- Drive inventory management and improve inventory turns
- Resolve component shortages with suppliers, procurement, engineering, and operations teams
- Lead co-planning/CPFR activities with suppliers
- Enhance, automate, and maintain reporting tools and performance dashboards
- Own component forecasting and supply health metrics
- Identify supply risks and execute mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted production
- Lead supply reporting, dashboards, shortage summaries, and executive-level updates
- Manage purchase orders, lead-time tracking, supplier commitments, and supply continuity planning
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, forecast risks, and drive strategic actions
- Support cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives
- Maintain continuity of supply across the assigned commodity portfolio
- Improve forecast accuracy and supply visibility
- Optimize inventory turns and supply coverage
- Strengthen supplier performance and delivery reliability
- Deliver actionable reporting for decision-making and executive visibility
- Build partnerships across engineering, planning, operations, suppliers, and procurement teams
- Provide strategic commodity recommendations optimizing supply, inventory, cost, and customer fulfillment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep understanding of semiconductor commodities, including silicon, wireless, FPGA, CPU, and memory supply chains
- Knowledge of lead-time management, allocation environments, lifecycle planning, and supplier engagement strategies
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, and dashboards
- Experience with material management, demand planning, direct procurement, or supply chain operations
- Strong understanding of component-level supply chains, ideally in high-tech hardware
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred
- 7+ years of experience in semiconductor supply chain, commodity management, demand/supply planning, procurement, or supply operations
- Background in networking, server, or hardware manufacturing environments
- Experience driving process improvement and operational efficiency
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools preferred
