About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work on multiple projects across all stages of design and development for complex SCM, Tools, and Release Engineering platform problems
Perform solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration
Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners
Review designs and project activities for compliance with application design and development guidelines and standards
Provide feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk
Provide domain-specific expertise and software applications leadership to cross-organization projects and programs
Drive innovation and integrate new technologies into software applications projects
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff members
Manage and monitor engineering infrastructure, Jenkins, Jira, and related systems
Develop DevOps and automation tools using Python
Understand all components of HPE Networking SD-WAN's product portfolio
Identify repeatable patterns and tasks and automate them
Develop and maintain user-interface full-stack applications
Understand customer problems and build tools to help customers succeed
Scale engineering infrastructure to support growth
Collaborate on troubleshooting and resolving operational issues for end users

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Typically 4–6 years of experience
Familiarity with Linux systems, OS hardening, secure systems, threat modeling, and security concepts
AI-first mindset
Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, computational complexity, parallel and distributed computing
Strong programming knowledge using Python, Django, JavaScript, and similar technologies
Familiarity with MySQL or MongoDB
Knowledge of build automation, Software Configuration Management, and Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins, GNU Make, Jira, and Git
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in overall software application architecture for products and solutions
Experience designing and integrating software applications across multiple platform types into overall architecture
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Mastery in English and the local language
Ability to communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at senior management levels
