About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Influence large account sales teams to partner for near-term revenue growth and long-term account success
- Develop, nurture, and maintain strong business relationships with alliance partners
- Create and manage the company funnel for partner deals
- Transform potential leads into joint sales activities
- Coordinate specialists' input to assess opportunities and make recommendations
- Advocate the alliance perspective internally and troubleshoot selling or fulfillment inhibitors
- Ensure appropriate resources, sales awareness, and technical certification for successful joint initiative implementation
- Generate leads for system integrators, outsourcers, and independent software vendors across business areas and customer segments
- Build strategic relationships with partner decision makers
- Develop account plans with partners to grow company share of business
- Motivate partner sales forces
Requirements
What you’ll need- University or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Typically 5-8 years of selling experience at end-user account or partner level
- Solid experience in selling products and services
- Understanding of relationship/value partner management, solution focus, alliance building, and resourcing
- Understanding of end-user needs related to the business unit
- Consultative selling experience
- Partner and account management skills
- Ability to advocate for client needs and troubleshoot solution delivery issues
- Forecasting, planning, and reporting skills related to partner/alliance deals
- Understanding of the IT industry, competing vendors, and the channel
- Understanding of company organization, operations, business rules, go-to-market strategies, partner segmentation, programs, initiatives, and structure
- Understanding of company products, software, and services
- Ability to communicate offering strengths and overcome objections
- Ability to build strategic relationships with partner decision makers and promote company programs and offerings
- Ability to develop account plans with partners
- Ability to motivate a partner's sales force
