Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with embedded system software developers to define comprehensive test plans and ensure thorough test coverage
Design, implement, and execute manual and automated tests
Analyze test results and improve testing processes
Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for software-test portions and subsystems
Author and execute testing plans, protocols, and documentation
Identify and debug code issues and recommend changes or improvements
Analyze system designs to determine required coding, programming, and integration activities
Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases for embedded software features
Collaborate with software systems engineers and internal or outsourced development partners
Communicate software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution
Lead or contribute to validation and resolution of complex technical issues
Continuously improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in embedded software testing and development
Proficiency with software systems design tools and programming languages, such as Python, C, and Go
Expertise in software systems testing methodology, including test-plan creation and execution, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience designing software systems running on multiple platform types
Understanding of computer system architecture, devices, and communication protocols
Familiarity with embedded Linux and device drivers
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Mastery of English and local language
Ability to communicate design proposals, negotiate technical options, and facilitate collaborative solutions
Proven leadership abilities in directing team activities and supporting team-based decision processes
