About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the overall account lead and single point of contact for United States Federal Agencies and Departments, Federal System Integrators, and Partner Resellers
- Grow and maintain the Federal lease and finance business
- Hunt for and achieve growth with new clients in assigned accounts and agencies
- Identify customer business and IT challenges and align leasing, financing, and asset management solutions
- Collaborate with HPE Federal sales teams, HP INC Federal Sales, and federal partners to source, understand, and close transactions
- Work with Credit, Operations, and Legal to close deals and oversee continuing customer relationships
- Build growth opportunities through account planning, scheduled reviews, and updates
- Leverage external partners to deliver solution sales
- Develop business plans with customers and partners
- Apply consultative-selling techniques to drive profitable revenue growth
- Maintain customer loyalty and trust
- Achieve and manage quarterly, half-yearly, and annual quota or profit margin
- Enter opportunities in Salesforce and update the pipeline weekly
- Implement pipeline management and margin recovery strategies
- Identify customer requirements and select the appropriate company supply chain
Requirements
What you’ll need- University or Bachelor's degree
- Typically 6-12 years of relevant experience
- Industry experience in federal sales, leasing, or public sector sales
- Experience with computers, printers, servers, or storage
- Detailed knowledge of key customer types or customers on given products
- Knowledge of federal government financing, federal government agencies, or Federal Acquisition Regulations preferred
- Understanding of leasing/accounting pricing and concepts preferred
- Significant sales experience preferred
- Consultative selling skills
- Leadership and cross-functional expertise
- Time management skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple internal and external partners
- Customer relationship building at management and executive levels
- Advanced sales negotiation and deal-closing skills
- Expertise managing end-to-end sales processes in large deals

- Knowledge of the company's breadth of solutions
- Ability to translate customer business issues into company solutions
- Ability to prioritize strategic sales activity for complex solutions

- Travel required: 50% or more
