About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as overall account lead and single point of contact for United States Federal Agencies and Departments, Federal System Integrators, and Partner Resellers
  • Grow and maintain Federal lease and finance business while hunting for new clients
  • Align leasing, financing, and asset management solutions with customer needs while maximizing revenue and margin
  • Collaborate with HPE Federal sales teams, HP INC Federal Sales, and federal partners to source, understand, and close transactions
  • Work with Credit, Operations, and Legal to close deals and oversee continuing customer relationships
  • Build growth opportunities through account planning, scheduled reviews, and updates
  • Leverage external partners to deliver solution sales
  • Develop business plans with customers and partners
  • Apply consultative selling to advance profitable revenue growth
  • Manage quarterly, half-yearly, and annual quota and/or profit margin
  • Enter and update opportunities weekly in Salesforce
  • Implement pipeline management and margin recovery strategies
  • Identify customer requirements, match them to company capabilities, and select the appropriate supply chain

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University or Bachelor's degree
  • Typically 6-12 years of relevant experience
  • Industry experience in federal sales, leasing, or public sector sales
  • Experience with computers, printers, servers, or storage
  • Detailed knowledge of key customer types or customers for assigned products
  • Knowledge of US Federal appropriations, budgeting, and buying practices
  • Preferred: knowledge of federal government financing, federal government agencies, and Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Preferred: understanding of leasing/accounting pricing and concepts
  • Significant sales experience
  • Consultative selling skills
  • Leadership, cross-functional, time management, customer management, sales negotiation, and deal-closing skills
  • Expertise managing end-to-end sales processes in large deals
  • Ability to coordinate multiple internal and external partners
  • Ability to understand customer business issues and translate them into company solutions
  • Travel required: 50% or more
