Federal Enterprise Account Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage several large US Navy accounts, with primary responsibility for NAVAIR
- Understand customer IT and business objectives, priorities, requirements, and challenges
- Implement HPE strategy and drive business performance across HPE business units
- Manage portfolio mix to optimize account profitability
- Build pipeline and support and orchestrate deal closures
- Build relationships with key customer influencers and decision makers, including C-level executives
- Develop and engage the extended partner ecosystem
- Position HPE’s IT portfolio using current industry knowledge
- Lead, guide, and provide feedback to extended account team members
- Act as the customer’s advocate inside HPE
- Develop and execute account business plans
- Lead complex, large, cross-business-unit sales engagements through closure
- Govern pipeline-building activities and ensure deal ownership
- Coordinate partner strategy and account governance
- Mentor others within HPE and provide development opportunities for extended team members
- Coordinate with customer-facing HPE organizations to improve customer experience and satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- US citizenship required
- 6+ years of sales experience in an enterprise environment
- 3+ years of successful sales experience hunting net new business and white space
- 5+ years of military experience with NAVAIR or selling to this customer
- 5+ years of experience in big data, hybrid IT, IT services, digital business, information security, AI, and intelligent edge desired
- Active Government Security clearance preferred; must be eligible for a Security Clearance if not currently active
- Proven history of managing and exceeding quotas in sales roles
- Ability to manage current accounts with a major focus on bringing in and developing net new business
- Experience in the IT industry
- Experience dealing with Federal funding and contracting processes
- Knowledge of IT industry developments and technology trends
- Understanding of HPE products, solutions, and service offerings
- Ability to lead dispersed and indirect teams in a complex matrix organization
- Expertise in relationship building, influencing, negotiating, strategic planning, sales execution, consulting, and business acumen
