About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage several large US Navy accounts, with primary responsibility for NAVAIR
- Understand customer IT and business objectives, priorities, requirements and challenges
- Implement HPE's strategy and drive business performance across HPE business units
- Manage portfolio mix to optimize account profitability
- Build pipeline and support and orchestrate deal closing
- Build relationships with key customer influencers and decision makers, including C-level executives
- Develop and engage the partner ecosystem
- Position HPE's IT portfolio and technology trends within the account
- Lead and coordinate extended account teams and provide feedback and development opportunities
- Act as the customer's advocate inside HPE
- Develop and execute comprehensive account business plans
- Lead complex, cross-business-unit sales engagements and large deals
- Orchestrate regional pursuit resources and participate in pricing and resource investment decisions
- Mentor lower-level employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- US citizenship required
- 6+ years of sales in an enterprise environment
- 3+ years of successful sales experience hunting net new business and white space
- 5+ years of military experience with NAVAIR or selling to this customer
- 5+ years of experience in big data, hybrid IT, IT services, digital business, information security, AI and intelligent edge desired
- Active Government Security clearance preferred; must be eligible for Security Clearance if not currently holding one
- Proven history of managing and exceeding quotas in sales roles
- Ability to manage current accounts with a major focus on bringing in and developing net new business
- Experience in the IT industry
- Experience dealing with Federal funding and contracting processes
- Experience working as an IT leader, within an IT department, and/or with customers is a plus
- Strong strategic planning, sales execution, IT industry acumen, HPE portfolio knowledge, team leadership, relationship building, communication, influencing, negotiation, business and operational acumen
- Knowledge of the customer's industry landscape, enterprise architecture, and partner and influencer ecosystem preferred
