About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage several large US Navy accounts, with primary responsibility for NAVAIR
  • Understand customer IT and business objectives, priorities, requirements, and challenges
  • Implement HPE strategy and drive business performance across HPE business units
  • Manage portfolio mix to optimize account profitability
  • Build pipeline and support and drive deal closure
  • Orchestrate multidisciplinary deal teams and extended account teams
  • Build relationships with customer influencers, decision-makers, and C-level executives
  • Develop and govern partner ecosystem relationships
  • Position HPE technology, products, solutions, and services within customer accounts
  • Lead complex sales engagements, account planning, project management, and coordination
  • Act as the customer advocate inside HPE
  • Provide mentoring, feedback, and development opportunities to account team members
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account business plans
  • Coordinate with other HPE customer-facing organizations to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US citizenship required
  • 6+ years of sales in an enterprise environment
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience hunting net new business and white space
  • 5+ years of military experience with NAVAIR or selling to this customer
  • 5+ years of experience in big data, hybrid IT, IT services, digital business, information security, AI and intelligent edge desired
  • Active Government Security clearance preferred; must be eligible for Security Clearance if not currently active
  • Proven history of managing and exceeding quotas in sales roles
  • Ability to manage current accounts with a major focus on bringing in and developing net new business
  • Experience in the IT industry
  • Experience dealing with Federal funding and contracting processes
  • Strong strategic planning, sales execution, IT industry acumen, HPE portfolio knowledge, team leadership, relationship building, communication, influencing and negotiating, business acumen, and operational excellence
  • Experience working as an IT leader, within an IT department, and/or working within customers is a plus
