About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect solutions across hardware, software, services, as-a-service offerings, and third-party components
- Develop and review customer proposals that meet business and technical requirements
- Provide technical expertise to sales teams and customers through presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept
- Quantify business problems, position business value, and evaluate solution strengths and weaknesses
- Translate outcome-based solutions into functional designs and scalable technical architectures
- Track emerging technologies and incorporate technology and industry trends
- Contribute to industry development through conferences, presentations, demonstrations, booth support, and industry events
- Gather and apply competitive intelligence for account support
- Drive account business planning and support customer transformation strategies
- Conduct deep-dive discussions and build relationships with customer stakeholders and executives
- Produce comparative analyses of alternative approaches
- Develop, configure, and right-size workload solutions
- Leverage partner products and services and transfer knowledge to external partners
- Build account pipeline through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying unmet needs
- Monitor active deals from opportunity through close and participate in sales forecasting
- Document sales-cycle activities using designated tools and share best practices
- Share knowledge with peers and mentor more junior team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. citizenship required
- 50%+ travel required
- 6+ years working with or supporting the Federal Sector in DOD
- 6+ years of technical IT experience focused on technical consulting and solution selling
- Hands-on experience in system and network administration, data center operations, and enterprise infrastructure management
- Ability to architect, configure, and demonstrate solutions meeting DoD mission requirements
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical rigor with practical implementation
- First-level university technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English and applicable local languages as needed
- Advanced business and financial acumen, including sales cycles, pipeline growth, reporting, business strategy, TCO/ROI concepts, and financial models
- Advanced consultative/value selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing
- Advanced knowledge of company business, technical tools, and CRM systems
- Advanced resource, project, and time management skills
- Hands-on experience with relevant products, solutions, tools, or services
- Ability to design demonstration playbooks and deliver live demonstrations or walkthroughs
- Advanced knowledge of partner offerings and go-to-market strategy
- Advanced strategic planning and account planning skills
- Enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies/certifications helpful but not required
- Advanced degree in technology preferred
