Federal Enterprise Architect – DOD

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect solutions across hardware, software, services, as-a-service offerings, and third-party components
- Develop and articulate customer proposals
- Ensure customer business and technical requirements are met
- Provide technical expertise to sales teams and customers through presentations and demonstrations
- Quantify business problems and position solution value
- Translate outcome-based solutions into functional and technical designs and scalable architectures
- Track emerging technologies and technology trends
- Contribute to industry conferences and events through content, presentations, demonstrations, and booth support
- Gather and apply competitive intelligence
- Drive account business planning
- Partner with account teams on customer transformation strategies
- Produce comparative analyses of alternative solution approaches
- Develop, configure, and right-size workload solutions
- Leverage partner products and services
- Transfer knowledge to external partners
- Build account pipeline through identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Monitor pipelines and nurture deals through close
- Participate in sales forecast meetings
- Document sales-cycle activities using relevant tools
- Build relationships with customer executives
- Share knowledge with peers and mentor junior team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- US citizenship required
- 50%+ travel required
- 6+ years working with or supporting the Federal Sector in DOD
- 6+ years of technical IT experience focused on technical consulting and solution selling
- Hands-on technical IT experience in system and network administration, data center operations, and enterprise infrastructure management
- Ability to apply technical expertise to architect, configure, and demonstrate solutions meeting DoD mission requirements
- Enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies and certifications helpful but not required
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical rigor with practical implementation
- First-level university technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications
- Advanced degree in technology preferred
- Advanced solution configuration, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept experience
- Advanced understanding of company products, software, services, solution domains, and aaS offerings
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including communication in English and applicable local languages as needed
- Advanced business and financial acumen, including sales cycles, pipeline growth, reporting, business strategy, TCO/ROI, and financial models
- Advanced consultative/value selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing
- Advanced knowledge of business, technical tools, and CRM systems
- Advanced resource management skills
- Hands-on experience with relevant products, solutions, tools, or services
- Ability to design demonstration or walkthrough playbooks
- Ability to deliver live demonstrations or walkthroughs
- Advanced project and time management knowledge or experience, analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and due diligence
- Advanced knowledge of partner offerings and go-to-market strategy
- Advanced strategic planning and account planning skills
