About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect solutions across hardware, software, services, and as-a-service offerings to achieve customer business outcomes
  • Develop and present accurate, relevant customer proposals
  • Ensure customer business and technical requirements are met
  • Provide technical expertise to sales teams and customers through presentations and demonstrations
  • Quantify business problems, position business value, and assess solution strengths and weaknesses
  • Translate outcome-based solutions into functional and scalable technical designs and architectures
  • Track emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Support conferences and industry events through content, presentations, demonstrations, and booth activities
  • Gather and apply competitive intelligence
  • Drive account business planning and support customer transformation strategies
  • Produce comparative analyses of alternative solution approaches
  • Develop, configure, and right-size workload solutions
  • Leverage partner products and services for customer deals
  • Transfer knowledge to external partners
  • Build pipeline through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying account opportunities
  • Monitor and nurture active deals through close
  • Participate in sales forecasting and accelerate the sales lifecycle
  • Document sales-cycle activities and share best practices
  • Build relationships with customer executives
  • Share knowledge with peers and mentor junior team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US citizenship required
  • 50%+ travel required
  • 6+ years working with or supporting the Federal Sector in DOD
  • 6+ years of technical IT experience focused on technical consulting and solution selling
  • Hands-on experience in system and network administration, data center operations, and enterprise infrastructure management
  • Ability to architect, configure, and demonstrate solutions meeting DoD mission requirements
  • Enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies/certifications helpful but not required
  • Ability to balance technical rigor with practical implementation
  • First-level university technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications
  • Advanced degree in technology preferred
  • Advanced experience leading solution configurations and creating demos and proofs-of-concept
  • Advanced understanding of company products, software, services, solution domains, and aaS offerings
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate in English and applicable local languages as needed
  • Advanced business and financial acumen, including sales cycles, pipeline growth, reporting, business strategy, TCO/ROI, and financial models
  • Advanced consultative/value selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing
  • Advanced knowledge of technical tools and CRM systems
  • Advanced resource management skills
  • Hands-on experience with relevant products, solutions, tools, or services
  • Ability to design and develop demonstration playbooks
  • Ability to deliver live demonstrations and walkthroughs
  • Advanced project and time management knowledge or experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of partner offerings and go-to-market strategy
  • Advanced strategic and account planning skills
