About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect solutions across hardware, software, services, and as-a-service offerings to achieve customer business outcomes
  • Develop and articulate customer proposals that meet business and technical requirements
  • Provide technical expertise to sales teams and customers through presentations and demonstrations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of solution domains, products, services, customer environments, and business needs
  • Quantify business problems and position solution value
  • Translate outcome-based solutions into scalable functional and technical designs
  • Track emerging technologies and incorporate industry trends
  • Contribute to industry events, conferences, demonstrations, and presentations
  • Gather competitive intelligence and support account planning
  • Participate in deep-dive customer discussions and present technical transformation strategies
  • Produce comparative analyses of alternative solution approaches
  • Develop, configure, and right-size workload solutions
  • Leverage partner products and services and transfer knowledge to external partners
  • Build account pipeline through upselling, cross-selling, and identification of unmet needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US citizenship required
  • 50%+ travel required
  • 6+ years working with or supporting the Federal Sector in DOD
  • 6+ years of technical IT experience focused on technical consulting and solution selling
  • Hands-on experience in system and network administration, data center operations, and enterprise infrastructure management
  • Ability to architect, configure, and demonstrate solutions meeting DoD mission requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical rigor with practical implementation
  • First-level university technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications
  • Advanced degree in technology preferred
  • Enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies and certifications helpful but not required
  • Advanced solution configuration, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept experience
  • Advanced knowledge of company products, software, services, solution domains, and aaS offerings
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in English and applicable local languages as needed
  • Advanced business and financial acumen, including TCO/ROI concepts and financial models
  • Advanced consultative/value selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing
  • Advanced knowledge of technical tools and CRM systems
  • Advanced resource management, project management, and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of partner offerings and go-to-market strategy
  • Advanced strategic and account planning skills
