Finance Analyst

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure Colombia inventory, tax, and external audit compliance
- Prepare local tax and accounting reports
- Implement automation processes
- Provide complex financial analysis for a financial function or business
- Establish and maintain relationships with business leaders to guide decision-making
- Provide analytics for business initiatives within a finance sub-function
- Support policy and process improvements and identify opportunities
- Identify issues and propose solutions
- Represent finance on cross-functional teams
- Provide mentoring and guidance to analysts
- Gather financial data and perform financial analyses and reporting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and pricing
- Drive weekly, monthly, and long-term forecasting processes
- Communicate and drive adherence to GAAP and financial policies
- Ensure accurate internal and external financial reporting and strong business controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- First level university degree with a focus in business or economics
- Advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred
- Typically 4+ years of experience as a financial analyst
- Experience in more than one finance function
- Tax reporting experience
- External audit compliance experience
- Strong accounting and finance analysis skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong business application skills, such as Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Good business acumen
