Key responsibilities & impact

Lead architectural decisions for Gen13 servers
Resolve complex, system-level firmware trade-offs early in design
Ensure scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability
Develop organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems design and development across multiple platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit
Identify and evaluate new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with the technology roadmap and business value
Create plans for integration and updates into the architecture
Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards
Provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk
Influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups
Guide and mentor less-experienced staff members
Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives and contribute to mentorship and knowledge sharing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Typically 10+ years experience
Experience designing and developing software systems design tools and languages
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions
Experience designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture
Experience evaluating and selecting software systems testing forms, processes, methodologies, test plans, debugging, testing scripts, and tools
History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in software design
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Mastery in English and local language
Ability to communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels
In-depth knowledge of Redfish standards
Proven record of scaling firmware across multiple management processors on scalable systems
Test-driven development
Proven record of integrating AI into development and test cycles
In-depth knowledge of OpenBMC and Yocto environment
Experience in secure software development life cycle
