About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Influence and manage the Mist for SMB/Midmarket product offering, positioning, and pricing across the portfolio lifecycle
  • Plan business objectives and adjust product positioning and offering decisions with Sales Program, Pricing, and Global Product Line teams
  • Provide expert knowledge of SMB/MM business, competition, products, pricing, marketing, and customer requirements
  • Communicate and brief regional category managers and sales forces on product strategies and offerings
  • Influence go-to-market strategy and define demand-generation priorities with regional teams
  • Contribute to business-plan definition and drive execution to country level
  • Represent the team with regional sales forces and partners at senior level
  • Hold quota responsibility for Mist in the SMB/MM product range
  • Lead market analysis, marketing engagement, and sales-force communications
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration across Product Line Marketing, Operations, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Marketing
  • Lead or provide expertise to functional project teams and cross-functional initiatives
  • Guide process improvements and establish policies across extended regional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University or bachelor’s degree in engineering or business/finance
  • Typically 8–12 years of professional experience
  • Combination of Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Business Planning experience preferred
  • Commercial Partner/channel management expertise or End User Account management as an alternative
  • Advanced degree or MBA preferred
  • Deep understanding of HPE Networking SMB/MM product and solutions portfolio
  • IT industry and HPE Networking product/solution knowledge
  • Channel Sales and SMB/MM customer segment knowledge
  • Business acumen and business planning skills
  • Financial planning and modelling skills
  • Strong senior-level communication skills
  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices
  • Negotiation skills and ability to frame product value propositions
  • Leadership skills and cross-functional expertise
  • Financial acumen and pricing expertise
  • Bay Area preferred; candidates outside California may be considered if located near an HPE office and able to work in a hybrid capacity
