About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect solutions across hardware, software, services, as-a-service offerings, and third-party components to achieve customer business outcomes
  • Develop and critically review customer proposals while ensuring business and technical requirements are met
  • Quantify business problems, position business value, and assess solution strengths and weaknesses
  • Provide input to global business units on IT trends, requirements, gaps, and unmet needs
  • Translate outcome-based solutions into scalable functional and technical designs and architectures
  • Communicate solution value propositions to address customer business needs
  • Track emerging technologies and incorporate technology and industry trends
  • Contribute to industry development through conferences, presentations, demonstrations, booth support, industry events, and social media monitoring
  • Gather and apply competitive intelligence for account support
  • Drive account business planning based on industry trends and customer technical environments
  • Participate in deep-dive discussions and partner with account teams to build customer relationships and present transformation strategies
  • Produce comparative analyses of alternative approaches
  • Develop, configure, and right-size workload solutions to balance cost, scope, scale, boundaries, and benefits
  • Leverage partner products and services and transfer knowledge to external partners
  • Build and monitor account pipelines, identify opportunities, nurture deals, and prioritize high-potential pursuits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • First-level university technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications
  • Advanced degree in technology preferred
  • 8–12 years of technical experience in IT, focused on technical consulting and solution selling
  • Knowledge-based and 1+ experience-based relevant industry certifications very strongly preferred
  • Enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies and certifications helpful but not required
  • Advanced experience leading solution configurations and creating demos and proofs-of-concept (POCs)
  • Advanced understanding of company products, software, services, solution domains, adjacent domains, and their combinations
  • Advanced ability to translate aaS, ecosystems, value propositions, solutions, and workloads into customer outcomes
  • Advanced understanding of aaS business model variations
  • Advanced cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and storytelling
  • Ability to communicate in English and applicable local languages as needed
  • Advanced discussion and persuasion skills
  • Advanced business and financial acumen, including sales cycles, pipeline growth, reporting, business strategy, TCO/ROI concepts, and financial models
  • Advanced consultative/value selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing
