About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and grow strategic enterprise customer relationships across Massachusetts and Maine
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of named enterprise accounts
  • Develop account strategies and long-term sales pipelines
  • Grow existing business and identify new opportunities
  • Drive complex solution sales from identification through negotiation and close
  • Proactively develop targeted new-logo accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic account and pursuit plans
  • Build and maintain sales pipeline to achieve revenue and margin objectives
  • Build relationships with IT and business leaders, including C-level executives
  • Position networking solutions using consultative and value-based selling techniques
  • Coordinate internal presales, specialist, systems engineering, and other HPE resources
  • Build relationships with channel and external partners
  • Grow HPE’s networking footprint across wireless, routing, security, and related solutions
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline activity, and opportunity information
  • Monitor customer, industry, and competitive trends
  • Advocate for customer needs and coordinate resources to address challenges
  • Protect and grow existing relationships while developing whitespace and net-new business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of outside sales experience
  • Experience managing enterprise customer relationships and complex sales opportunities
  • Experience selling networking or related technology solutions
  • Knowledge of wireless networking, routing, and security
  • Experience managing and growing existing accounts while developing new business opportunities
  • Experience owning a sales quota and managing opportunities throughout the end-to-end sales cycle
  • Experience building relationships with senior IT and business leaders, including C-level executives
  • Experience working with channel partners, resellers, or other external partners
  • Must reside within the Massachusetts or Maine territory
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% locally for customer and partner meetings
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and solutions
  • Consultative and value-based selling skills
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop strategic account plans, identify whitespace, build pipeline, and drive new and existing business
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and time-management skills
